Changes for iStep Ver. 9.7 

  • Additional languages and language apps – we have added new languages to the software.  The most recent additions have been:
    • Norwegian
    • Swedish
    • Czech
  • Lynco Flips has been added to the Lynco Categories, including an informative product recommendation screen. 
  • The “Store Setup” screen has been modified for both US addresses and International addresses. 
  • SSL support was added for data encryption. 
  • We have added a new running screen to the software.  The image matches the new kiosk poster and is a perfect fit for the running specialty or athletic market.  It is called 
  • Aetrex footwear catalog was updated. 
  • New Help menu options – We have made some changes to the Help Menu.
    • Request Help – Previously this was called “Help”, we thought that was awkward having Help on the Help menu, so we changed it to “Request Help”.  This sends an email to iStep Tech support, with the store information saying that the customer needs help.  The confirmation has been changed and hopefully is clearer now.
  • Security Statement – A security statement has been developed to address the concerns that many customers (or potential customers) have about putting the iStep system on the internet. 
  • New Control Panel Setup feature – On the setup menu for the software, we have added “Control Panel Setup”.    This screen gives the customer all of the information that they need to access the Control Panel. 
    • For an individual store it provides a link to the Control Panel, their email address to login, a way to get their password, a control panel demo and the phone number for tech support.
    • For the Chain store, the store needs to be added to a chain manually.  There is a field to be filled out.  An email is sent to Dan to get the store added to the chain list. 
  • Link to the Control Panel has been added to the weekly scan email – The email scans will stay the same, but there is now a link at the bottom of the email that will direct the customer right to the control panel to view live scan data

  • In the event losing connection to the internet, all scan statistics (Including Scan Tracker stats) are cached on the store computer.  Once internet connectivity is restored, this data is synched with the cloud server.
